• Autumn Newsletter 2020

Hello, and welcome to my Autumn Newsletter

I hope this finds you well and in good spirits. My wife Clare and I are once again opening our garden studios to the public, later than the usual June programme, but with just as much great art.

EXHIBITIONS

The Surrey Artists Open Studios this year was always going to be a challenge but got the go ahead two weeks before it’s postponed September dates. The Open Studios run from 19th September to the 4th October. During the open studios we will be open between 11am and 5pm every Friday, Saturday & Sunday (19-20, 25-27 September and 2-4 October). Do come along if you get the chance.

This is our 6th year of opening and we have once again teamed up with six local artists to create the Golden Valley Arts Trail in our area. You can pick up a flyer from us to see when the other artists on our trail are open.

SURREY LANDSCAPES

Since the spring newsletter, my Surrey Landscapes project has come on in leaps and bounds. I am showcasing a prototype of the final book in the Open Studios that will be published and available in Spring 2021. The final hardback coffee-table book will be around 90 pages long with 40 images celebrating the best of the Surrey countryside. I will be launching a crowd funding campaign later in the year and offering half price copies to those who help with the funding - watch this space!

STAYING IN TOUCH

If you would like to see what I am up to on a more regular basis, I am now much more active on these clickable social media platforms:

  • Instagram - see my feed @nickoakleyphoto for regular posts.
  • Facebook - this is my personal page. I will however be transitioning to my professional account in the next few weeks (see the next link below).
  • Facebook professional page - when you click through please click on the like button to get updates from my feed.
  • LinkedIn - possibly their most inactive member ever but this is my only public commitment to leverage it up my to-do list - any requests to connect here would be a welcome push!

and finally…

Should you know someone who may be interested in my landscape photography images, please share this newsletter with them and help me spread the word.

All the best and take care

Nick
